In 1994, after buying our first home in Maumelle, AR, I found peace. I grew up in the small Arkansas town of Mountain Home and after living in the hustle and bustle of Little Rock, I stumbled upon this quaint and very quiet suburb once called New Town. Although I didn’t know a soul there, this, indeed, became my “new town.”
After living in Maumelle a short while, it became apparent that making friends would be easy because people here are so accepting. Maumelle has that old-fashioned community feel with children walking to school, small town festivals, fish fries, civic and church functions welcoming all to attend, and so much more.
