At The Janet Jones Company, we love being an active force in our community, and consider it an honor and a privilege to live, work and play in Little Rock. In 2008, we started The Rainbow Fund, a community assistance fund whose mission is to help fulfill the human needs of home and shelter with compassion and understanding by distributing grants and assistance to local groups and families who are in need.
The fund has evolved over time into a program that is very close to our hearts, and is now called The Johnson Melhorn Rainbow Fund. Johnson Melhorn was a beloved Realtor at The Janet Jones Companyfor over 30 years. His successful career was due largely to the compassion, kindness and respect with which he treated his clients and friends. Upon his death in December 2011, the Janet Jones Company renamed this fund in his memory, reminding us always of the charity of heart he demonstrated during his well-lived life.
Over the years The Janet Jones Company has donated almost $100,000 to local groups and families in need of assistance, specifically related to food and shelter. Almost 100 local groups and families have benefitted from donations made by The Johnson Melhorn Rainbow Fund. The fund is directed by agents and staff at The Janet Jones Company, who donate their time on a rotating basis. A portion of our agents’ commissions, which are matched equally by the company, funds this program. The program allows us to give in ways we hope will directly improve lives. The Janet Jones Company is proud to have 100% of agents in our firm participate in this wonderful program.
